This is not a children’s book. Teens and adults both will enjoy the story and the screenplay. The original story is a fast paced drama with moments of hilarity and inspiration. Dixy is a female dolphin orphaned at birth who is reluctantly befriended by Wally, a White Whale who is a loner. Together, they embark upon an adventure filled with perils and inspiration which forever changes the two of them.
The screenplay, though based upon the original story, introduces Gabby, a 9 yr. old girl, and other human characters. The paths of Dixy and Gabby are intertwined, and cross in dramatic fashion changing both of them. Thus, the beginning, story development, and surprise ending in the screenplay is quite different from the original story. Both story and screenplay you will enjoy.
